Understanding Palette Types
Tooly can generate several types of palettes:
- Complementary: Colors opposite each other on the color wheel (high contrast).
- Analogous: Colors next to each other on the color wheel (harmonious, low contrast).
- Triadic: Three colors evenly spaced around the color wheel (vibrant, balanced).
- Tetradic (Rectangular): Four colors forming a rectangle on the wheel (two complementary pairs, rich variety).
- Monochromatic: Variations in lightness and saturation of a single hue (subtle, elegant).
- Shades: Adding black to the base color (darker variations).
- Tints: Adding white to the base color (lighter variations).
- Random: Generates a set of random, potentially unrelated colors.
